As an artist, I’m always on the lookout for new materials that might elevate my craft, so when I heard about Cosclay, I was intrigued. With promises of flexibility, durability, and versatility, it seemed like it could be the perfect addition to my polymer clay arsenal—especially for art dolls, where subtle details and longevity are key. I really wanted to love this clay, but my experience, though interesting, wasn’t exactly what I had hoped for. Here’s a look at what I discovered during my journey with Cosclay.

So what is your experience working with Paper Clay? I found paper clay to be gentle to my hands, and able to achieve fine details... with patience, many details can actually be accomplished but the process could be time-consuming, those are my pros and cons, what are yours? be free to comment!

My Journey to Handmade Skincare

I have battled acne and oily skin since my teenage years. Throughout my 40s, I tried everything commercially available—some products were extremely expensive, yet nothing truly helped. I was constantly searching for a solution, but everything felt like a waste of money. That is until I found a way to make my own products.

Since switching to my handmade skincare, I’ve noticed a real improvement in both my face and body. I also quit using antiperspirants with aluminum, choosing instead to allow my body to function naturally while using ingredients that support skin health.

Antiperspirant and Deodorant:

Before we dive into the detox process, it’s important to understand the difference between antiperspirant and deodorant. Antiperspirants contain aluminum-based compounds that temporarily block sweat glands, preventing perspiration. Deodorants, on the other hand, do not stop sweat but aim to mask or eliminate odor by neutralizing bacteria.

Some people who have tried transitioning from an antiperspirant routine to a deodorant have experienced an increase in odor or found that the deodorant doesn’t seem to work as effectively (this was my own experience as well). This happens because, as the body switches from using an antiperspirant, it begins to release the buildup of previous chemicals and toxins that were trapped in the sweat glands. The following information explains how the body tries to release these substances, which is why a detox routine is recommended during this transition period.
